Courtney Brinkman is SVP of Consumer Interactive, the consumer division of TransUnion. In this role, Brinkman is responsible for leading the strategic direction of the International markets that provide tools, resources and education to help consumers manage their credit health and achieve their financial goals. Under her leadership, the division has seen significant growth, now serving more than 25 million consumers across 5 continents.
Brinkman joined TransUnion in 2013 serving as Vice President, Product Marketing and Customer Insights. In this role, she was responsible for effectively bringing new products to market. By honing a deep understanding of the markets and customers TransUnion serves, Courtney created compelling, value-based product messaging and delivered engaging marketing assets to build awareness and demand for TransUnion solutions. Courtney was also responsible for equipping Sales with the knowledge and tools needed to drive opportunities through to revenue.
Thinking like a Customer has always been a passion. Prior to TransUnion, Courtney worked for LexisNexis for over 12 years in various marketing and research roles. She first joined the company as a Marketing Research Manager – conducting primary needs assessment and customer satisfaction interviews. Her customer knowledge delivered tangible results when she later transitioned to a Product Marketing role. In 2009, she launched a Customer Experience program, a cross-functional effort that explored how well Customer needs were being met across all touchpoints – sales, fulfillment, billing, support, etc. And, in 2012, Courtney launched a global Customer Insights program to ensure the voice of customers – their perceptions, their needs, their expectations - were captured, understood and used in strategic planning. Prior to LexisNexis, Courtney spent 6 years as a Research Director at a boutique market research firm.
Courtney received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Johnson & Wales University. She and her husband, Derek, live in Rockville, MD with their two children.
