CBA is pleased to announce that we have been selected as one of 28 awardees of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) 2024 Program for Investment Microentrepreneurs (PRIME) grant.
With these funds, CBA will provide training, technical assistance, and program development to microenterprise development organizations (MDOs) that serve under-resourced entrepreneurs. Highlights include:
- Creating a business credit building cohort that includes 20 MDOs that will share solutions for integrating business credit building into their work
- Hosting a session at our 2025 Symposium and a community-member webinar highlighting insights these MDOs have learned from one another
- And updating our popular Reading and Understanding Credit Reports course with industry updates and action-oriented steps for coaching or underwriting
Congratulations to CBA members who also received SBA awards: California FarmLink, Jannus, Inc., Maryland Capital Enterprises, Initiative Foundation, Northeast Entrepreneur Fund, Justine Petersen Housing and Reinvestment Corporation, Montana Community Development Corporation, Center for Rural Affairs, Economic and Community Development Institute, Chehalis Tribal Loan Fund, and Northwest Access Fund.
